News Corp recently developed a set of open source data visualization components, as well as, a visual programming interface, known as Lenses. Lenses allows users to add, manipulate, and pipe data into existing components, or create and save new components.

I led a small team developing an internal drag-and-drop interface for journalists to access and use components built in Lenses. These components can be arranged, with images and copy, into cards, which make up stories. These stories can then be published to the web. We built this internal interface using Express.js, Redis, Mongodb, SASS, jQuery, and Underscore templates.
